    Barracuda Season - 2026 Introduction

    Howdy Barracuda Families!

This year’s swim season is almost here! This is a long email with LOTS of information.

Registration is open at the following link under Programs and Classes\Bryan Barracuda Swim Team:

    NWAL Barracuda Registration:

    NWAL Registration Link:

There is a limit to the number of swimmers, so register early!

    * All Officials and Coaches need to login to nwalcertified.com and start their background checks.

    * All Current Stroke and Turn officials need to be re-test this year, which you can also do at nwalcertified.com

We also have a Stroke Clinic Scheduled for April 14th – 17th If you think your swimmer might need a refresher before the season, or if you are not sure about a new swimmer, this is a good opportunity to try them out in the water. This is a separate registration from NWAL.

    Stroke Clinic Registration:

    Stroke Clinic Link:

Important Note: Parents of younger swimmers:

All swimmers have to be able to complete one length of the pool (25 yards) without assistance and without holding on to a wall/lane line by Friday, April 25th. If your swimmer is not able to, the pool will work with you to either move your swimmer into swim lessons or provide refunds. This deadline is to allow swimmers on the wait list to be moved onto the team, before we are required to turn in our team roster to NWAL. We encourage you to sign up for Stroke Clinic to get an extra week in the water to allow your swimmer to get used to being in the pool.

Information for all current or future Officials:

We also need officials! If you are interested in becoming an official there are several opportunities for training. Please contact Robin O’Brien: [email protected] for clinic dates and signup information

    Returning Officials:

Log in (returning officials) or create an account with https://www.nwalcertified.com/

Click BACKGROUND CHECK on home screen. $18. It takes a few days for the check to be run, then a few more days for NWAL compliance to link it to NWALcertified -- don't wait.

Refs need to recertify every year (take test & pass with 85%)

STRs need to recertify THIS year

All officials & coaches must have current badges during a meet. Badges won't print without background checks.
