Thank you everyone for your patience last night. We were able to get about half the meet done prior to the storm delay. That was more than a lot of teams were able to do this week. I wanted to give you an update of what we have planned for the rest of this week and going into the swim meet against Brenham on Saturday.

After talks with the College Station swim coach and the staff at the pool, we have decided to just consider the College Station meet a draw and are not going to continue it face to face or virtual. We made that decision for numerous reasons, but mainly due to the fact that we have not actually been able to have a normal practice with the swimmers in a week. I think we need to be able to continue to develop the swimmers and trying to do another make-up, even if it was virtual, would not be to anyone’s benefit. Towards that end, the rest of the practices this week are going to be regular practices at the normal times. We urge parents to send your swimmers so we can work on their skills and prepare them for the rest of the season.

We are going to be swimming against the Brenham Dolphins this Saturday. Tonight, is the final time to register to swim at the meet. The one advantage is that the pool is inside, so we shouldn’t have too much trouble in case of storms. We also still need some volunteers and officials to help the meet run smoothly. So, to sum up. Regular practice the rest of this week and register your swimmers for the Brenham meet this Saturday.
