    Big Last Week coming up!

Our last week! And we have so much going on! Let’s hit the highlights

    1. Swim Party:
      1. The swim Party with be this Thursday Evening! It begins at 8:00 PM and is going to 10:00 PM. It is at the aquatics center and pizza and drinks (water) will be provided. We want to ask you to bring a desert or side dish for the fun. All the family is invited to eat, swim and have fun as we close our Barracuda NWAL season.
    2. Invitationals:
      1. We have signed everyone up to invitationals that informed us they were going. Look on Swimtopia to double check what you are swimming. We had enough for a 9-10 and 15-18 women’s relay for red white and blue! So check the relays as well
      2. To pay entry fees, you can go to Bryan’s rec track and use one of the following codes to pay for your swims. You will have to list the swims you are paying for. We will send you out some more information in a separate announcement
    3. Last Practice:
      1. Our last practice will be the Friday morning practice this week. Because the invitationals start on Friday afternoon, we will not have an evening practice on Friday.
      2. TAAF practices will start on Tuesday next week
    4. TAAF practices:
      1. TAAF is considered a short “second” swim season. It will start Tuesday of next week and continue until July 21st (except July 4th). We will run a similar practice in the morning as we did during NWAL season, but may reduce it to only one time slot (8:00-9:30) depending on the lane load. We will also have an evening practice for our swimmers who can’t make the morning practice due to work other factors. NOTE: we are severely limited in lanes, so this practice is limited to those needing it.
      2. TAAF has one meet on July 9th (here). It is a regional meet. Most of the events are similar to the NWAL format, but swimmers up through the age of 90+ are eligible to swim. For swimmers under the age of 13, the top three finishes in regionals will qualify for the State Games of Texas. This year the State Games are in Corpus Christi and are on the weekend of the 21st – 24th (which day depends on the swimmers age). If you are 13 or over, you automatically qualify for the State meet. In both cases you can choose to not swim the state meet if you wish to decline.
      3. You can sign up for TAAF on rectrac. The registration code is 201401

Don’t forget about the Party, on Thursday June 23rd. It begins at 8:00. Bring an appetite and a suit!
