Swim Party and Fall Swimming Announcements
Howdy Parents!
I hope everyone had a fantastic rest of their summer and this new school year has started off great! I have a few announcements to send out about swim team!
The first announcement is the date of our party. We’ve been holding off in the hopes of using the slides for our team party but we can’t wait any longer to get this scheduled. We will host our team party on Wednesday September 26th at starting at 7:00pm at the Bryan Aquatic Center. We will have our team awards and pizza for the party! Please feel free to bring any sides you’d like to share with the team! At this point I am not confident the slides will be ready for the party as we are still awaiting final insurance certificates and some final work to get completed. If that changes I will be sure to let you know.
The second announcement is that we will be offering a fall swim team program for all ages! We are excited to offer a new family swimming program this fall with the Bryan Barracudas TAAF Fall Swim Team!! As long as you’re able to swim 300 yards without stopping and know a minimum of 2 strokes, we have a place for you or your child! This program aims to provide an opportunity for participants to get quality swim workouts each week in a family environment. We accept anyone that can meet the minimum swimming requirements. Practices will be held on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays each week. Coaches will write workouts for participants to pick up if they’d like swim on Wednesdays and Fridays but there will be no coaching those days.
Participants will have the opportunity to compete in the T.A.A.F. Winter Games of Texas Swimming event in Pearland, TX on January 18-20, 2019.
