practice this week
Hi everyone. I want to thank you for your patience this past meet. I had surgery on Thursday and am still trying to bounce back. I will be there for the start of morning practices this week.
We have a HUGE meet against college station this weekend. It will be and Adamson's Lagoon on Saturday. This is definitely an all hands on deck swim meet. College Station is a great swim team and we need everyone there if we hope to have a chance of beating them. We want to have some fast races this week so try to make it to practice so we can get faster.
We have a mid season invitational that is coming up. It is called Pentathalon and is in Houston. This is not one of our regular divisional meets, it is an invitational that has the swimmers swim all four strokes, plus the IM. They need a minimum time to qualify and we will be letting swimmers and parents know if you qualify for the meet. Once again this is not a required meet, but some swimmers like to swim it to see if they can improve or make some of their end of the season invitational qualifying times.
Speaking of end of the season invitationals, Some swimmers have already qualified, while others a real close. We will be trying to put swimmers in swims to help them qualify in as many events as possible over the next few meets.
Starting tomorrow (Monday) we will be starting morning practices:
1st practice: 8:00-9:30
2nd practice: 9:30-11:00
We will NOT have an evening practice on Monday.
Starting on Tuesday we will be having an evening practice from 6:45-8:00 for those that have trouble attending the morning practice times. This time will have a much reduced coaching staff and limited lanes. So we may not be able to accommodate all swim levels, or swimmers if we have too many. So, if you can attend the morning practices, it would be appreciated.
Once again, thank you for your patience as I recover from my surgery. I look forward to seeing you int the morning.
